Fatal Crash: Witnesses Wanted After Incident Involving 32-Year-Old Victim In Shelton

Police are searching for witnesses to a one-car crash that killed a 32-year-old Connecticut resident.

The collision occurred in Fairfield County around 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15 in Shelton at the intersection of Shelton Avenue and Pine Street.

The man from Ansonia, whose name has not yet been released, was the only occupant and was later pronounced dead, said the Shelton Police.

The Shelton Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. 

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash of the 2008 blue Nissan Altima. 

Specifically, there may have been a man on a moped in the area that witnessed the crash, police said.
